Ms. Adams said she did not hear
the fire chief say we need a bond issue, he said we need two pumper trucks, other life
saving equipment and housing. She did not think the chief was qualified to say how the
City would finance it. Ms. Adams was concerned about some comments that there
might be some people that would suggest that if there is no bond issue there is no life
saving equipment.
Lawrence Taylor, 7472 Stanford
Mr. Taylor presented to all residents and Council, an invitation to attend a debate among
the Mayoral candidates, March 15, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Heman Park Community Center
and the moderator will be Charlie Brennan of KMOX. Mr. Taylor said all citizens are
invited to submit questions; one way is through the U City Participate web site, second
way by email to UCityParticipate@hotmail.com
and thirdly at the event itself.
M.COUNCIL COMMENTS
Mr. Glickert thanked the City Manager for getting the information to them on the scholarships
used for Cencom. He said there were five scholarships in force right now and the question of
concern is that City Manager noted that there are ten that have not been redeemed and he
wondered if there was a time line as to when they would be redeemed.
