MISSION/GOALS <br /> <br />The mission of the Loop Arts District is to serve as the umbrella agency for the area's cultural <br />organizations by providing focus, visibility, direction for, and increased public participation <br />in all arts, culture, education, and performance activities occurring within the district. <br /> <br />Toward that end, the Loop Arts District will strive: <br /> <br />To promote this district as a primary resource for arts, culture, education and <br />performance both in St, Louis region and eventually nationally. <br /> <br />To encourage excellence, innovation, and diversity in all public programs and events <br />offered in the district. <br /> <br />To increase opportunities for all citizens to more fully participate in the arts, culture, <br />education, and performance by developing programs and services that reflect, and are <br />sensitive to, the ethnic, racial, social, cultural, artistic, and intellectual diversiW of the <br />surrounding community. <br /> <br />- To strengthen the district as a destination for arts, culture, education, and performance. <br /> <br />To create mechanisms which facilitate greater cooperation, communication, and <br />partnerships among cultural organizations. <br /> <br />To collaborate with other public and private entities in addressing broader community <br />issues and concerns. <br /> <br />To generate resources (both cash and in-kind) necessoa3, to support the progroans and <br />services of the district. <br /> <br /> <br />
