Session 1732, Minutes
September 28, 1998

Mr. Ollendorff agrees with the Plan Commission that the final subdivision plat to
resubdivide this building into four condominium dwelling units should be approved since
all city ordinance requirements have been met.

Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion.

Responding to Mr. Munkel, Mr. OIlendorff said that this resubdivision would cause City
taxes to be more up than down. Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff replied
that this project met both the state law condo conversion requirements as well as our
local requirements.

The motion carried unanimously.

PERSONNEL REPORT:

MayorAdams noted receiptofthe personnelreport ~rthe weekending September25,
1998.

CITIZEN COMMENTS:

Harold Jefferson, 8014 Parkway Dr., said that he represents the residents on Parkway
Drive. The residents are concerned with the excessive drainage of water coming from
the Barbara Jordan School yard. This water presents a safety hazard to pedestrians
and automobiles. The neighbors are also concerned with the conditions of their street.
They claim the patch jobs do not last and requires a more substantial job to repair
cracks. The neighbors are also concerned with the amount of dead limbs on the
neighborhood trees.

Mayor Adams directed the City Manager to research these concerns and to get back
with the residents with a plan to correct them.

Ann Simpson, 7450 Amherst, said that she represents the morning lap swimmers at the
Heman Park Pool. She said that a petition had been put together to try and get the lap
swim time changed from its current time of 6:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. - 8:30
a.m.. She said that changing the time would keep the Pool consistent with the
Natatorium and the Recreation Center. She said that the extra thirty minutes would be
very helpful to people having to get to a job at 8:00 a.m.

Mayor Adams suggested that this request be referred to the Park Commission.
