<br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />Regular City Council Session <br />January 4, 2010 <br /> <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers of the City Hall, <br />on Monday, January 4, 2010, Mayor Joseph Adams called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In <br />addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Terry Crow <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br />Ms. Ricci had an excused absence. <br /> <br />Also in attendance were City Manager Julie Feier and City Attorney John Mulligan. <br /> <br />C. PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />1. <br />December 7, 2009, Study Session minutes as corrected were moved for approval by Mr. <br />Price, and were approved unanimously. <br />2. <br />December 7, 2009, Regular Session minutes as corrected were moved for approval by Mr. <br />Wagner and were approved unanimously. <br />3. <br />December 17, 2009 Special Session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. Sharpe and <br />were approved unanimously. <br /> <br />E. CONSENT AGENDA <br />1. <br />Fire Station Design Contract Approval <br />The City received grant funding for a new Fire Station through stimulus funds. Six firms <br />responded to an RFQ for architectural and engineering services for the Fire Station project. <br />They were evaluated on firm’s qualification, experience, key project personnel, services to <br />be provided, hourly rates of all personnel, estimated work schedule and timeline and ability <br />to meet minority/female worker requirement. The contract was awarded to Archimages who <br />has worked with 24 cities and fire districts for design services. They have submitted a quick <br />timeline per our request and have well qualified staff. The cost is reimbursable by the grant. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved to approve the consent calendar, seconded by Mr. Wagner and was <br />approved unanimously. <br /> <br />I. CITY MANAGER’S REPORT <br />1. <br />Site Plan Review application for 8125 Groby Road – Brittany Woods Middle School <br />expansion. The school district is proposing additions to the existing building which included <br />a new library/media center, a new two-story classroom wing, a new parking lot and a newly <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br />
