<br />Mr. Crow moved for approval, seconded by Mr. Glickert and was approved unanimously. <br />2. <br />Conditional Use Permit for 6643 Washington Ave. to allow a private (music) school in a HR <br />Residential district. <br />Mr. Price moved for approval, seconded by Mr. Crow and was approved unanimously. <br />3. <br />Approve amending City Code 9.08.080 to allow intoxicating liquor under certain conditions <br />in City parks. <br />Ms. Feier stated that the Parks’ Commission voted unanimously that Council should <br />consider an ordinance to control drinking in areas open to the public and how it is currently <br />managed. The proposal also talks about accessing a $10 fee for an alcohol permit for the <br />parks, community center and Centennial Commons. Ms. Feier stated that she was just <br />proposing for Council’s input before she drafted an ordinance. <br /> <br />Mr. Price asked for more information on this proposal. He wanted to know if this was to limit <br />use or enhance use. Ms. Feier stated that it is to better document use and have more <br />ownership of use. Mr. Price asked what the benefits were. Ms. Feier stated that it would <br />allow the City to better control alcohol consumption in the park. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow inquired if citizens would know the requirement ahead of time so as not to be <br />surprised at the time of the event. <br />4. <br />Approval of Council’s scheduled meetings for 2010. <br />Ms. Ricci asked for more than three sessions for budget discussion, starting in the fall. Ms. <br />Feier said Council can always add more study session whenever they would like. <br />Mr. Price moved for approval, seconded by Mr. Glickert and was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow asked about the Weekly Manager’s report including a comparison report for one <br />year after the golf course driving range opened. He asked for someone to get back to him <br />to explain if it was talking about gross revenue or net revenue, as he thought the numbers <br />didn’t quite add up. <br /> <br />J. NEW BUSINESS <br />BILLS <br />Introduced by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. <br />1. <br />BILL 9051 – An ordinance amending Chapter 10.44 of the University City Municipal Code, <br />relating to parking restrictions for specific streets, by repealing Section 10.44.020 thereof, <br />relating to parking prohibited on certain streets during designated hours, and enacting in lieu <br />thereof a new section to be known as “Section 10.44.020 parking prohibited on certain <br />streets during designated hours,” thereby amending said section so as to prohibit parking on <br />the south side of Forsyth Blvd, thereof from Del-Lin Drive to Asbury Ave, between the hours <br />of seven a.m. and nine a.m. and between the hours of three p.m. and six p.m. on every day <br />of the week except Saturday, Sunday and holidays; containing a saving clause and <br />providing a penalty <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />2. <br />Resolution 2009 – 19 Amending Fiscal Year 2009 Budget Amendment #3 and <br />appropriating said amounts. <br />Ms. Ricci asked why the Council did not receive the budget transfer information sooner than <br />the Friday before the Monday meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
