SESSION 1710 <br /> <br /> MINIJTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 3, 1997 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council <br />Chamber of City Hall on Monday, November 3, 1997, Mayor Joseph L. Adams <br />called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following <br />members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Hardy Ware <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Ware moved approval of the minutes of October 13, 1997. Mr. Lieberman <br />seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OATHS OF OFFICE: <br /> <br />The following new or reappointed members of the City's boards or commissions <br />were given the oath of office by the City Clerk: Crystal Overstreet -- Historic <br />Preservation Commission, Pamela Burton -- Municipal Commission on Arts and <br />Letters, Melissa Kreishman -- Board of Adjustment, Marc Hirshman -- Industrial <br />Development Authority and the Tax Increment Financing Commission. <br /> <br />The Mayor thanked everyone for their wish to serve the City on these important <br />boards/commissions. Mayor Adams said that the work of citizens in this capacity <br />were invaluable and of great benefit to the City. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams moved the approval of the recent election of the new employee <br />representative to the Non-Uniformed Employees Retirement Fund Board of Trustees <br />-- Ms. Carol Lewis. This will be for a four year term ending July 1, 2001. Mr. <br />Schoomer seconded the motion which carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
