Mr. Field said the reports the Council is getting does not clearly show the profit <br />or loss. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow said the Councilmember Wagner and he introduced the resolution. He did believe <br />it was for accountability, to get the numbers right and to address the neighbors concern that <br />the City had at that time. Mr. Crow stated the only thing he regretted is that they always <br />received two reports the majority and the minority and at some point it was time to move <br />forward. He said if the majority say to sunset, he feels they should be allowed to sunset. <br /> <br />Mr. Glickert thought that to achieve goals with the time the committee had was not <br />acceptable. He felt they needed a year or longer to do their job. Mr. Glickert said two <br />Councilmembers came up with this great idea and then all of sudden there is no committee. <br />Mr. Glickert said that this committee has not been in place long enough for Council to see <br />what the charge is. He noted that we are in the winter months now, there are peak periods <br />in the summer months, playing time predicated on the weather in the fall so he moved to <br />drop the motion. There was a motion on the floor that needed to be handled before <br />accepting another motion. <br /> <br />Ms. Ricci stated that she would hate to loose people who are interested and engaged in an <br />area of our government, the City should foster that. The notion that we have two separate <br />reports is critical and that is a good thing as the more information and point of views one <br />has the more rounded is the decision the Council can come to. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe agreed with Ms. Ricci that if there are those interested in continuing and feel <br />they have something valuable to lend to the City, he does not see why we should deny them <br />to do so. <br /> <br />Voice vote to sunset the commission was four AYES and three NAYS from Mr. Glickert, Mr. <br />Sharpe and Ms. Ricci. <br /> <br />7. <br />Liquor License application by Asian Kitchen, 8423 Olive Blvd for beer and wine with Sunday <br />sales. There was no disqualifying information on the background check. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved for acceptance, seconded by Mr. Sharpe and was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />8. <br />Delmar Loop Streetscape Project, Phase II was for the installation of iron tree grates, <br />brackets for the decorative light poles and sidewalk repairs. A federal grant supports 78% <br />of the eligible costs with a maximum of $265,200. The City’s share was funded by money <br />from the Economic Development Tax. The low bidder was Concrete Design with a bid of <br />$133,206.90. <br />Mr. Price moved to accept low bidder for the Delmar Loop Streetscape project, seconded by <br />Mr. Glickert and was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />9. <br />Legislative Budget. Ms. Feier noted that when studying the Legislative budget, it was found <br />that under line item for elections, money had been budgeted for an August ballot. With the <br />move to the April ballot, approximately $21,000 would be available for other use. A request <br />was made for consideration to use the additional money remaining in the Legislative Budget <br />under election for the Youth Initiative kick-off of $19,435 instead of using money in the <br /> <br /> 16 <br /> <br />
