Celebration of Learning <br />Join the U. City School District for a District wide on <br />Wednesday, May 5, 6 – 8 PM, Brittany Woods Middle School, 8125 Groby Rd. The <br />celebration features hands-on, faculty-organized activities based on what students in <br />th <br />pre-school through 12 grade are learning or have learned during the school year. <br />Learn to ride a Segway, see Pele the Robot & UC robotics teams, participate in <br />American Idol Poetry Night (6-6:45 pm only) , experience math madness, get a wellness <br />check up, enjoy healthy fruit smoothies, visit clubs such as French, Latin, Birders and <br />more! For more information, call 314-290-4019. <br />Delmar/I-170 bridge project <br />MoDOT will conduct a public meeting on the on Tuesday, <br />May 4, 4 – 7 PM at Centennial Commons. <br />DUI crash reenactment for the <br />Today, the police and fire departments conducted a <br />Junior and Senior classes at the high school. <br /> Hartmann’s Towing provided the <br />vehicles and Lupton Funeral Home provided a hearse. <br />There have been some significant meeting changes of note. <br /> The June 7 Council <br />meeting will include the budget public hearing and will be held in the Heman Park <br />Community Center. The June 28 Council meeting has been moved to June 21. A <br />special study session to discuss the budget is scheduled for May 24 in the EOC Room <br />at City Hall. <br />More good news… the city’s fire house grant project moved a step further toward <br />FEMA notified the city that there was a finding of no significant impact <br />reality. <br />regarding the proposed Fire House #1 site <br />. The site was evaluated for any potential <br />significant adverse impacts to soils, air quality, water quality, wetlands, flood plains, <br />threatened or endangered species, cultural and historic resources and environmental <br />justice considerations.
