The reception will be held from 6 to 8 pm <br />in the rotunda of City Hall. Colleagues, City employees, citizens and friends are invited <br />to attend. Refreshments and memories will be served. <br />Government Surplus Vehicles and Equipment <br />University City is conducting a <br />Auction <br /> Exclusively Online. The auction began Friday, April 16, 2010 at 10:00am CDT <br />and it ends on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 10:00am CDT. A complete listing of all <br />surplus items can be viewed on the City’s website at www.ucitymo.org. Businesses, <br />individuals and other government organizations can register and bid for the items <br />online. Auctioneer PurpleWave, Inc. is listing the surplus items on their website at <br />www.purplewave.com. To bid, registration is required on the Purplewave.com website. <br />Registration is free and open to the public. Anyone interested in seeing the vehicles <br />and equipment before the auction can do so at an Open-House Inspection on Friday, <br />May 14, 2010 from 1 pm to 5:30 pm. Vehicles and equipment items are available for <br />inspection at 975 Pennsylvania Avenue, near the University City Community Center and <br />at City Hall 6801 Delmar, in the U. City Loop. Sales of surplus property generate <br />revenues for the City from items that are no longer in use or are no longer required for <br />operations. Disposal of these items comply with the City’s disposal requirements for <br />surplus property and allows the City to pursue the maximum value for tax dollars. All <br />items are sold “as-is, where is, and without warranty”. Winning bidders must collect the <br />asset by Monday, May 24, 2010. You can register for the (starting at 9 am) or <br />10K raceFun Run <br /> (starting at 7:30am) or the at 10:15 am for children under age 8 on <br />Trinity Ave. at Ghisallo Running, 606 North and South in University City or online at <br />http://fleetfeetstl.com/ucity Registration ends Friday May 28.
