Asbury Ave to a point 106 ft east thereof;, containing a saving clause and providing a
penalty.

CITIZEN COMMENT:
Rod Harkey
Mr. Harkey was representing Our Lady of Lourdes, 7148 Forsyth Blvd. He noted that
the direction listed in the title had restricted parking on the north side of Forsyth and it
should be restricted parking on the south side of Forsyth. Change in the title and body
of the bill to note the south side was made and was read accordingly. Mr. Harkey
stated this will keep the parking fluid in front of the church.

Mr. Wagner introduced
4.
BILL 9066 – An ordinance amending Chapter 34 of the University City Municipal Code,
relating to zoning, by enacting therein a new section to be known as “Division 34-89
Clifford Row Historic District”; containing a saving clause and providing a penalty.
Adding Clifford Row Historic District to Article 6 of the University City Zoning Code. A
Public Hearing is required at the time of the first reading and passage is required on
second and third reading

Mr. Price introduced
5.
BILL 9067 – An ordinance approving the first amendment to the redevelopment
agreement for the Kingsland Walk Redevelopment area, and authorizing certain
actions by City Officials.

RESOLUTIONS

L CITIZEN COMMENTS
Paulette Carr, 7901 Gannon Ave
Ms. Carr noted that the University City Symphony Orchestra is currently celebrating their
th
50 anniversary. They have a mission to develop a vision for the next era. They have
assembled the Vision Committee and are seeking input from the community in helping to
develop the vision. There is a short survey they are asking citizens to fill out and she
asked Ms. Feier to put it in her Weekly Report. It is also attached to the end of these
minutes.

M. COUNCIL COMMENTS
Mr. Price wanted to know what kind of single focus they would have as a group to make sure
residents understand the importance of filling out and returning their Census papers. He was
not sure if residents understood that thirty percent of the City’s revenue is based on the census
population count. Secondly Mr. Price said he went to the Robotics event and noted that the U
City team received the Rookie Award and wanted to congratulate the team.

Mayor Adams asked all candidates running for an office in U City to let residents know the
importance of filling out the Census form and returning it.

Mr. Crow announced that the Arts and Letters Commission is having a call for Art for an Art Fair
on June 19. The application deadline for submittal to the Fair is April 7. He also asked the City
Manager to pass on to the Chief of Police thanks for a relatively quiet weekend in Ames Place
and Rosedale Heights and noted that there is still a lot of work to do with our neighbor
Washington University to make it a palatable situation.

6
