7.
Community Development to gather more information from other cities and to survey
Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) contractors who obtain permits from St.
Louis County and University City, as to their satisfaction with St. Louis County’s
MEP services.

Mr. Glickert asked how University City’s fees compare with other cities and Ms. Eastman
stated U City was on the high end.

Ms. Eastman stated that presently it is hard to determine how many residents have
occupancy permits as there is no sunset rule when permits were obtained. Others have
been grandfathered in and data is not available for them. She stated the City also needs
to spend more time in documenting rental or owner occupied. Ms. Eastman noted that the
City could possibly save $140,000, plus clerical and mileage expenses.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:25 p.m.

Submitted by
Joyce Pumm, City Clerk
