Storm Related activity: <br /> This evening will be the last of three meals hosted at <br />the Heman Community Center. We were fortunate enough to be a location for a <br />FEMA reimbursement meeting. Today, staff will meet with FEMA and ten of our <br />neighboring communities to discuss the process and availability for <br />reimbursement of expenses related to our storm response. <br /> <br />As you are aware there was a storm related fatality Wednesday morning <br />regarding a tree trimmer on private property falling to his death. Thursday <br />morning we had an accident with a tree falling from Old Bonhomme Rd. to 170 <br />striking a vehicle in moving traffic. The individual survived the crash. As of this <br />morning we were down to around 150 outages. Wednesday morning, I ran a <br />quick list of outages just to see where University City ranked by percentage. Apparently, <br />rather than defend our motion to dismiss or to transfer the case from St. Louis <br />City Circuit Court to St. Louis County Circuit Court, Mr. Henreid decided to <br />voluntarily dismiss his lawsuit against the University City defendants and <br />continue to litigate against the Chase Park Plaza defendants and Ron Elz in St. <br />Louis City Circuit Court. A dismissal "without prejudice" means the lawsuit may <br /> <br />
