SESSION 1709 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />OCTOBER 25, 1997 <br /> <br />At a study session meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Library <br />Board Room on Saturday, October 25, 1997, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the <br />meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of <br />the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Hardy Ware <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff, Assistant City Manager Gregory <br />Rose. <br /> <br />AGENDA NO. 1 - CHARGING DEVELOPERS FOR REQUIRED PARKING: <br /> <br />The sense of the Council was to continue allowing developers to pay the City an <br />assessment of $2,000 for each required parking space they were unable to provide <br />in order to continue encouraging new construction or additions to existing buildings. <br /> <br />AGENDA NO. 2 - RESIDENT RECREATION FEES FOR BUSINESS & PROPERTY <br />OWNERS: <br /> <br />The sense of the Council was to offer residential fees only to business owners <br />(whom have been issued a University City business license) for a one year trial <br />period. Council will revisit in a year. <br /> <br />AGENDA NO. 3 - GARAGE SALES: <br /> <br />The sense of the Council was not to make any changes to any policies/ordinances <br />regarding garage sales. <br /> <br />AGENDA NO. 4 - COMPREHENSIVE PLAN: <br /> <br />The sense of the Council was to direct the City Manager to initiate a thorough, <br /> <br /> <br />
