she are in the process of finalizing a data base with all the historic appointments to the
Boards and Commissions. Mayor Welsch has asked the City Manager to ask staff to
include the minutes of all the Boards and Commission in the Council packet so the Council
is aware of what work is going on at the Commissions and Boards since they serve as an
advisory capacity to the Council. She also asked that Councilmembers come ready to give
reports from assigned commissions at this section of the meeting and upcoming meetings.

Ms. Ricci applauded Mayor Welsch for doing this as she felt there was a great resource in
the Boards and Commissions. She asked that Council talk about commissions as the LCRA
and TIF Commissions that are appointed by the Mayor only according to the City’s
ordinances. She would like to see more Council involvement with them and would like to
put it on the table for discussion. Ms. Ricci was glad to see that what happens in the
Boards and Commissions is going to be reported back to Council as the Council has missed
a lot of information by not doing this.

Mayor Welsch noted she is working with Ms. Riganti to finalize the list of everyone on the
various development commissions. She stated that by law in most cases the Mayor does
appoint to the commissions. Mayor Welsch stated that a number of those commissions do
have Council representatives on them and is presently being reviewed.

L.
