ÐÎÑÝÔßÓßÌ×ÑÒ <br />ÑÚ ÌØÛ <br />Ý×ÌÇ ÑÚ ËÒ×ÊÛÎÍ×ÌÇ Ý×ÌÇ <br />WHEREAS, the University City Dog Park is a community asset enjoyed by hundreds of <br />people and dogs every year; <br />WHEREAS, Bert Sterbenz designed the dog park in University City using his engineering <br />background to layout and draw plans; drafted the original bylaws for the park’s governing <br />body, U. City People for Dogs, Inc.,; and made countless contributions serving as the primary <br />vendor liaison and project manager for dog park enhancements, working as a volunteer <br />handyman to do minor dog park maintenance; and <br />WHEREAS, Bert Sterbenz was the President of the dog park for many years and was the <br />point person for the group’s interactions with the City Manager, City Council and Mayor, <br />drafting grant proposals, and hosting the board’s monthly meetings. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, upon the passing of Mr. Sterbenz, the City Council of University City, <br />wants to acknowledge how much his volunteer work has meant to our community by formally <br />recognizing <br />BERT STERBENZ <br />as a very special member of the University City community who will be missed. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, we have hereunto set our hand and caused the Seal of the City of <br />th <br />University City to be affixed this 26 day of July in the year Two Thousand and Ten. <br />SEAL <br />Joyce Pumm, City Clerk <br /> <br />
