A Conditional Use Permit is required <br />because the applicant is proposing a day care center in the IC – Industrial Commercial <br />District. Section 34-38.4 of the Zoning Code includes day care centers as a conditional <br />use in the IC District and it is therefore required to go through the Conditional Use <br />Permit process in accordance with Article 11 of the Zoning Code. Staff and Plan <br />Commission recommend approval with conditions. This application does not require a <br />public hearing at the City Council level.
