ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.36 OF THE UNIVERSITY <br />CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO REGULATIONS FOR <br />SPECIFIC STREETS, BY REPEALING SECTION 10.36.090 THEREOF, <br />RELATING TO STOP INTERSECTIONS – VEHICLES TO STOP AT <br />CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A <br />NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS “SECTION 10.36.090 STOP <br />INTERSECTIONS – VEHICLES TO STOP AT CERTAIN <br />INTERSECTIONS” THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS FOR <br />TRAFFIC ON TEASDALE AVENUE TO STOP AT CENTRAL AVENUE <br />AND FOR TRAFFIC ON WASHINGTON AVENUE TO STOP AT <br />BEMISTON AVENUE; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND <br />PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of University City, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Chapter 10.36 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to Stop <br />intersections -Vehicles to stop at certain intersections, is hereby amended by repealing Section <br />10.36.090 thereof, relating to Stop intersections -Vehicles to stop at certain intersections, and <br />enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as “Section 10.36.090 Stop intersections - <br />Vehicles to stop at certain intersections,” thereby amending said section so as for traffic on <br />Teasdale Avenue to stop at Central Avenue and for traffic on Washington Avenue to stop at <br />Bemiston Avenue; so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: <br />10.36.090 Stop intersections—Vehicles to stop at certain intersections. <br />The following street intersections are designated as stop intersections for certain entrances <br />thereto within the meaning of this title. Every operator of a vehicle or other conveyance <br />proceeding on streets listed in the lefthand column below shall stop such vehicles or other <br />conveyance before entering or crossing the street opposite in the righthand column below: <br />Ahern Avenue <br />Groby Road <br />Ahern Avenue <br />Mt.
