Session 1708, Minutes
October 13, 1997

Mr. Munkel wished to bring to Council's attention, that if you changed Olive to
Brentwood and Hollywood to Blockbuster, there would be very much the same
setup. There are two curb cuts going in on a very busy street with a huge
shopping center across the street from it. There are many businesses, going down
Olive, that have two curb cuts with less distance between these two. He
understands the City Manager's concerns, but the City has other businesses which
have the same setup and if a problem does occur, the City Council can make
changes.

Mr. Lieberman said that, ironically, Olive is considered, by the state, to be a limited
access farm to market road. Mr. Lieberman moved acceptance of the amendment.
Mr. Munkel seconded the motion.

17

Mr. Sharpe noted that National's at Hanley and Olive also have two curb cuts.

The all-aye motion carried unanimously.

AGENDA NO. 10 - PICNIC LIQUOR LICENSE - CHRIST KING CHURCH:

Christ King Church is applying for a picnic liquor license for a big event coming up
November 1st. The event is a fund raising event. They would like to have the
same license that they received a few years ago,

Mr. Munkel asked if they applied for "all kinds of liquor" in the past. Mr. Ollendorff
said that he was not sure if it was this particular church or not, but that there was
one other church that asked for this. There were no problems.

Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mr. Sharpe seconded the motion, which carried
unanimously.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Mr. Ollendorff wanted it known that approval for Agenda Item No. 6 - Truffe's was
based on the standards under the new zoning ordinance. The present ordinance
does not really call for this type of mixed use.

POLICE REPORT

Mayor Adams noted the police report was received, and ordered filed.
