<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> SESSION 1316 <br /> <br /> MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> October 11, 1982 <br /> <br /> At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City, held in the Assembly <br /> Room of the City Hall on Monday, October 11, 1982, Mayor Joseph W. Mooney presided <br /> and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the follow- <br /> ing members of the Council were present: <br /> <br /> Mr. Lawrence Lieberman <br /> Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br /> Mrs. Cynthia Metcalfe <br /> Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br /> Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> Absent: Mr. Marvin B. Levy <br /> <br /> Also present were City Manager Frank Ollendorff and City Attorney Dennis F. Kay. <br /> MINUTES <br /> <br /> August 23, 1982 <br /> <br /> Mr. Schoomer moved that the minutes of August 23, 1982 be approved as received. Mr. <br /> Adams seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> September 20, 1982 <br /> <br /> Mr. Schoomer moved that the minutes of September 20, 1982 be approved as received. <br /> Mrs. Metcalfe seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> OATH OF OFFICE <br /> <br /> Mr. Charles Foxworth, 6852 Julian, recently appointed to the Traffic Commission, was <br /> sworn in by the City Clerk. Mayor Mooney thanked Mr. Foxworth and said the Council <br /> and City appreciate the input and expertise given to the City by those who serve on <br /> its boards and commissions. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND REAPPOINTMENTS <br /> <br /> Mr. Lieberman moved the appointment of Mr. Herbert J. Gralnick, 7437 Tulane Avenue, <br /> to the Municipal Commission on Arts and Letters, for a term expiring January 2, 1984. <br /> Mr. Adams seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. Mr. Lieberman said Mr. <br /> Gralnick was an artist who has lived in University City for 33 years, and was very <br /> interested in serving. <br /> Mayor Mooney moved that Ms Sue Clancy, 6349 Washington, be appointed to the Univer- <br /> sity City Committee for Access and Local Origination Programming (CALOP), for a term <br /> expiring September 9, 1983. Mr. Adams seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Schoomer moved the reappointment of Julius Giebler, Gertrude Roberts and Kimble <br /> Cohn to the Historic Preservation Commission, for terms expiring September 9, 1985. <br /> Mr. Adams seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br />
