Upon roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYES: Councilmem- <br /> bers Schoomer, Thompson, Lieberman, Adams, Metcalfe, Levy and Mayor Mooney. NAYS: <br /> None. Bill No. 7550 became Ordinance No, 5346. <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION - PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF GAY AVENUE FROM GANNON TO STANFORD AVENUES <br /> <br /> Mr. Levy moved the adoption of a Resolution calling for the improvement of Gay Ave- <br /> nue from Gannon to Stanford Avenues, and calling for a public hearing to be sched- <br /> uled for 8:00 p.m. September 20, 1982. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Metcalfe <br /> and unanimously carried. A copy of the Resolution is attached and made a part of <br /> the record. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENT - MEETING OF COUNCIL SUBCOMMITTEE <br /> Mr. Adams stated that the City Council subcommittee dealing with the beautifica- <br /> tion of University City will have a meeting August 24 at 4:30 p.m., Room 2, City <br /> Hall. <br /> <br /> SETTING PUBLIC HEARING - USES OF COMMUNITY.IDEVELOPMENT FUNDS <br /> In order to provide advance notice to the community, Mr. Lieberman said it was ap- <br /> propriate to schedule a public hearing on the uses of Community Development funds <br /> in University City, He moved that the hearing be scheduled for September 20, 1982, <br /> at 8:00 p.m. Mr. Adams seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> ST. LOUIS COUNTY HEARINGS -.USES.OF REVENUE SHARING FUNDS <br /> Mr. Lieberman said St. Louis County has scheduled.hearings starting August 24 on <br /> the uses of revenue sharing funds, and he asked Mr. Ollendorff if the City had been <br /> able to have any input to the County in this regard. Mr. Ollendorff said the City <br /> has not been successful in the past in the matter, and he did not investigate that <br /> possibility this year because it seemed futile. However; he:would look into it if <br /> the Council desired, Mr. Lieberman said he would be requesting, on behalf of the <br /> St. Louis County Municipal League, funds for E-911 and complete funding of REJIS. <br /> Mr. Ollendorff said he would be happy to support those requests in any way he could. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENT - EXECUTIVE MEETING <br /> <br /> Mr. Schoomer moved that the Council hold a closed meeting at 6:30 p.m., September 20, <br /> 1982, in Room 2, City Hall, for the purpose of discussing personnel action and legal <br /> action. Mrs. Metcalfe seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Thompson, Lieberman, Adams, Metcalfe, Levy, Schoomer and Mayor <br /> Mooney. NAYS: None. <br />
