Mr. Ollendorff said he would provide the Council <br /> with copies of both the old and new policies. He noted that the new policy went <br /> into effect in May of this year, but the Melrose improvement was approved by Coun- <br /> cil more than a year ago, so it came under the old policy. <br /> The question was called, and all voted Aye. <br /> <br /> CONSIDERATION OF BIDS FOR CONCRETE REPAIR - 7400 BLOCK OF TULANE <br /> <br /> The City Manager said bids were received for concrete repair of the 7400 block of <br /> Tulane (Project No. 739) as follows: <br /> Jim Noonan Construction Company $6,648.00 <br /> Maryland Heights Concrete Company 6,840.75 <br /> Concrete Design, Inc. 7,366.60 <br /> Engineer's estimate $7,200.00 <br /> <br /> Mr. Levy asked for a description of this project. Mr. Ollendorff said it was a <br /> concrete street which was badly spalled and cracked. However, the entire street <br /> will not be replaced, but only the worst sections. <br /> <br /> Mr. Adams moved approval. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion, which carried unani- <br /> mously. <br /> PARKVIEW GARDENS ALLEY REPAIR <br /> <br /> The City Manager said bids were received for Parkview Gardens alley repair work <br /> (Project No. 731). The following bids were received, which also show alternate <br /> bids for similar work on Cabanne Avenue from Eastgate to the eastern City limits. <br /> Base Bid <br /> Parkview Gardens Alternate Bid <br /> Alley Repair (Cabanne Rehab) <br /> <br /> E. R. Oesch Construction Co., Inc. $53,315.20 $17,506.60 <br /> Concrete Design, Inc. 55,060.38 19,073.51 <br /> Ed Jefferson, Inc, 74,711.00 24,168.00 <br /> Jim Noonan Contracting Company 78,176.00 25,225.00 <br /> Mr. Ollendorff noted that funding for this project will also come from Community <br /> Development funds. He reccmmended that the low bid of E. R. Oesch Construction <br /> Co., Inc., 534 Bren-Litz, Ballwin, in the amount of $53,315.20 and their alternate <br /> bid of $17,506.00 be accepted. <br /> Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mr. Adams seconded the motion, which carried unani- <br /> mously. <br /> <br /> PARKVIEW GARDENS - ASPHALT OVERLAY AND CURB REPAIR <br /> <br /> The City Manager said bids were received for asphalt overlay and curb repair in <br /> Parkview Gardens (Project No. 737) as follows: <br />
