Mr. Adams seconded the motion, which <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> EXECUTIVE MEETING <br /> <br /> Mayor Mooney pointed out that the new sunshine law, effective today, required a <br /> roll call vote in order to hold an executive meeting. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Metcalfe moved that the City Council hold a closed meeting at 8:50 p.m. Au- <br /> gust 16, 1982, in Room 2, City Hall, for the purpose of discussing legal action, <br /> causes of action or litigation. Mr. Adams seconded the motion. Upon roll call, <br /> the following vote was recorded: AYES: Councilmembers Lieberman, Adams, Metcalfe, <br /> Levy, Schoomer, Thompson and Mayor Mooney. NAYS: None. <br /> The Mayor stated that it was also necessary that Council subcommittees follow the <br /> same procedure when scheduling meetings. Mr. Kay said a subcommittee must meet in <br /> public and vote to meet in private, and that a majority of the group must vote in <br /> the affirmative. Mr. Ollendorff added that a public notice must be posted 24 hours <br /> in advance of the time the subcommittee wished to meet. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br /> Mayor Mooney declared the meeting adjourned at 8:50 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> L <br /> Dolores A.
