<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> SESSION 1303 <br /> <br /> <br /> MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> April 26, 1982 <br /> <br /> At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City, held in the Assembly <br /> Room of the City Hall on Monday, April 26, 1982, Mayor Joseph W. Mooney presided <br /> and called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the follow- <br /> ing members of the Council were present: <br /> <br /> Mr. Lawrence Lieberman <br /> Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br /> Mrs. Cynthia Metcalfe <br /> Mr. Marvin B. Levy <br /> Mr. Allen Sabol <br /> Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. City Attorney Dennis Kay was ab- <br /> sent. <br /> MINUTES <br /> <br /> April 12, 1982 <br /> <br /> Mr. Levy moved that the minutes of April 12, 1982 be approved as received. Mr. <br /> Sabol seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> April 15, 1982 <br /> <br /> Mr. Adams moved that the minutes of the special meeting of April 15, 1982 be ap- <br /> proved as received. Mr. Levy seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT - SINE DIE <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilmember Adams, seconded by Councilmember Thompson and unanimous- <br /> ly carried, the Council, consisting of Mayor Mooney and Councilmembers Lieberman, <br /> Adams, Metcalfe, Levy, Sabol and Thompson adjourned sine die. <br /> TRIBUTES TO COUNCILMEMBER SABOL <br /> <br /> Mayor Mooney noted that the Council was losing the services of Mr. Sabol, a valua- <br /> ble and hard-working member of the Council. The Mayor said the City owed a large <br /> debt of gratitude to Mr. Sabol for his conscientious devotion to the City. <br /> Mr. Adams said it had been a pleasure to serve with his fellow Second Ward council- <br /> member, and he hoped that the citizens of University City were aware of Mr. Sabol's <br /> service and dedication. He also hoped that Mr. Sabol would continue to make him- <br /> self available for service to the community. <br /> Mr. Levy expressed appreciation to Mr. Sabol for being extremely helpful to him af- <br /> ter he was appointed to the Council last summer which he thought was precipitated <br /> by Mr. Sabol's genuine desire to help a new councilmember. He said this was typi- <br /> cal of Mr. Sabol's thoughtfulness. <br />
