SESSION 1303

MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL

April 26, 1982

At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City, held in the Assembly
Room of the City Hall on Monday, April 26, 1982, Mayor Joseph W. Mooney presided
and called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the follow-
ing members of the Council were present:

Mr. Lawrence Lieberman
Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr.
Mrs. Cynthia Metcalfe
Mr. Marvin B. Levy
Mr. Allen Sabol
Mrs. Betty L. Thompson
Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. City Attorney Dennis Kay was ab-
sent.
MINUTES

April 12, 1982

Mr. Levy moved that the minutes of April 12, 1982 be approved as received. Mr.
Sabol seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
April 15, 1982

Mr. Adams moved that the minutes of the special meeting of April 15, 1982 be ap-
proved as received. Mr. Levy seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.

ADJOURNMENT - SINE DIE

On motion of Councilmember Adams, seconded by Councilmember Thompson and unanimous-
ly carried, the Council, consisting of Mayor Mooney and Councilmembers Lieberman,
Adams, Metcalfe, Levy, Sabol and Thompson adjourned sine die.
TRIBUTES TO COUNCILMEMBER SABOL

Mayor Mooney noted that the Council was losing the services of Mr. Sabol, a valua-
ble and hard-working member of the Council. The Mayor said the City owed a large
debt of gratitude to Mr. Sabol for his conscientious devotion to the City.
Mr. Adams said it had been a pleasure to serve with his fellow Second Ward council-
member, and he hoped that the citizens of University City were aware of Mr. Sabol's
service and dedication. He also hoped that Mr. Sabol would continue to make him-
self available for service to the community.
Mr. Levy expressed appreciation to Mr. Sabol for being extremely helpful to him af-
ter he was appointed to the Council last summer which he thought was precipitated
by Mr. Sabol's genuine desire to help a new councilmember. He said this was typi-
cal of Mr. Sabol's thoughtfulness.
