miles a year and one was eliminated, the second 4,000 miles would then be put on the
existing fleet vehicle instead, so the cost of the fuel would remain the same. Mr. Price
asked about the garage facility and the suggested negative shop impact. He asked what
the negative impact was concerning, ceiling height. Mr. Brushwood said the Study
recommended high ceilings but he said that mechanics would rather not be working
underneath a heavy tractor trailer high on the lift and he did not feel the ceiling height was
detrimental. Mr. Price asked what affect that has for the City not being able to bring in the
big trucks. Mr. Brushwood said that this morning would have been an example that if the
main shop ceilings would be higher, they could have brought in four trash trucks to warm
up instead of just two. Mr. Price asked if it affected their life expectancy and Mr.
Brushwood said anything kept under cover would last longer but even if you had a new
facility, you would not be able to put all vehicles inside. Mr. Price asked what affect it
would have if University City had a new facility. Mr. Brushwood said obviously, things
would go easier: more room, better layout and easier to get in and out.

Meeting was adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
