Session 1746 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />February 8, 1999 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chamber of <br />City Hall on Monday, February 8, 1999, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to <br />order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> <br />Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul Schoomer <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the minutes for the regular meeting of January 25, 1999. <br />Mr. Sharpe seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - SUPPORT FOR APRIL 6, 1999 SCHOOL DISTRICT BOND ELECTION: <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Schmalz, 6922 Kingsbury, represents the Yes to Schools Committee. He briefly <br />explained why the City Council should endorse the $8.2 million bond issue that the voters <br />would be asked to pass on April 6, 1999. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved adoption of the resolution by acclamation. Mr. Schoomer seconded the <br />motion. <br /> <br />Responding to Ms Colquitt, Mr. Schmalz said that the plans were to modify the existing <br />track at the high school. The existing track would be made wider, but not deeper. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - FINAL ASSESSMENT FOR UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS #1 NID: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff said that before Council acted upon the resolution, there are some questions <br />that must be clarified. First, property owners are typically given thirty or sixty days to pay <br />without interest. That time period needs to be set by Council. Second, the city attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
