much has that been reduced by because we used to be theoretically on a 7 year
cycle.

Ms. Watson said that was theoretical.

Mr. Price said he knew it was factual and asked what it is today? Because if I am
looking at $90 and $12 that tells me that something is not right.

Ms. Watson said this would be leaf collection. The tree trimmers would be in
Parks Maintenance.

Mr. Price asked what page that was on.

Ms. Watson – Page 24, 25 & 26 – Most of our tree trimmers are employees.

Mr. Price asked how many are full time employees today versus what it was
before? According to Mr. Price, a budget book was slammed in front of his face
at the budget hearing.

Ms. Watson said we have 4½ employees that do tree trimming.

Mr. Crow asked how many did we have before.

Ms. Watson said she thought the number has not as we are splitting one
employee between park maintenance and tree trimming. I don’t believe our
employees have changed there and they are also supplemented.

Ms. Watson said we have a crew leader the forestry supervisor and two tree
trimmers.

Mr. Price said he really don’t think we can have a serious budget discussion
unless we deal with this issue of dumping fees and that issue is because of
recycling and he is looking at this number so that means something is going on
where people are not recycling like they should.

Ms. Watson said it could also have been the bill was paid later, maybe in
January.

Mr. Crow this is not a little item; it is a pretty big item that when we discuss
cutting something else he thinks this has to be addressed earnestly first. He said
right now it seems like nobody cares if people don’t recycle because I don’t
remember us having any discussions about it.

Mayor Welsch told Mr. Price that Public Works worksis on a regular basis trying
to encourage recycling in our community. That is on-going.

Mr. Price said he didn’t say Ms. Hicks, he said us.

16
