Weston said on October 11, Mr. Kraft disrespected City staff and personally insulted her. <br />She reported it and said she expected an apology but has never received one. Ms. Weston <br />said Ms. Ricci’s actions in the chamber this day was outrageous speaking to Mr. Price as <br />though he were a retarded child with no reprimand Out of Order on her. <br /> <br />Paulette Carr, 7901 Gannon <br />Ms. Carr said an elected official has an obligation and responsibility to represent his <br />constituency and secondly has the right of free speech. She said she did not see in person <br />nor hear in the audio recordings what the Mayor alleged in her resolution. She said the <br />letter to reprimand and move toward removing Mr. Price will rip the City apart. Ms. Carr <br />challenged the Mayor to rise to real leadership. <br /> <br />Lynn Rossel, 7015 Olive <br />Ms. Rossel said Byron Price is not aggressive in the way to anyone would ever need to be <br />afraid of and speaks to the people he cares about. She appreciated Mr. Crow for bringing <br />up all the information he could bring up as she was not present February 14. Ms. Rossel <br />feels like she is in the City with Mayor Slay when she comes to one of University City’s <br />meetings and cannot watch this City be torn down. <br /> <br />Danielle Herron, 7833 Gannon <br />Ms. Herron said this is her opinion and applaud the Council for all the hard work they do. <br />She said Ms. Ricci has been there from day one on the Wilson buyout and only has the <br />resident’s best interest at heart. Ms. Herron said on the day of the flood she was assisting <br />flood victims knee deep in the sewer water. She supports every member of Council. Finally <br />she said Ms. Ricci is neither a racist nor a liar and the accusations are unacceptable and <br />outrageous. <br /> <br />Mr. Kraft called for the question. <br /> <br />Roll Call vote was: <br /> <br />AYES: Ms. Ricci, Mr. Kraft, Mr. Glickert, Mayor Welsch <br />NAYS: Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Price, Mr. Crow <br />Resolution 2011-2 passed by a majority. <br /> <br />O. CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />Nova Felton, 8031 Noel Ct. <br />Ms. Felton said she did not see Mr. Price stand up at the meeting on February 14 and pointing <br />his finger is the way he talks. She again recommended Council engage in some sensitivity <br />training. She said the citizens are still waiting for the results of the State Audit. Ms. Felton <br />noted that she had asked at the beginning of the audit to track the cost of employees’ time it <br />took to provide information for the auditors and add this to the actual cost charged by the State. <br />She would like to make a public request now that the audit was complete as to what the total <br />cost. <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch said that last the City has heard is that it will be made public in two to four <br />weeks. <br /> <br />Ms Felton’s second request stated that nine employees were fired without any prior notification <br />and it is alleged that there is no uniformity in severance pay offered.
