charrette will be presented this Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Olivette Community Center for
everyone to attend.

2.
Mayor’s Task Force on Year-Round Aquatics
Mayor Welsch said this is an attempt to bring people from through-out the community, the
school district and City together to discuss how we can best provide year-round swimming
in University City. The City’s winter time swimming is done at the School District’s
Natatorium and the District has had an on-going conversation as to whether they can
continue to support the facility. She asked each member to appoint one member to the
Task Force no later than March 1. In addition she has asked members of the School Board
to each appoint one member and the Superintendent of the District to appoint three
members to the Task Force. The Mayor noted that applications are not needed, as this is
not a Board or Commission but rather a Task Force to which the Mayor makes the
appointments, which is to start in March of 2011 and to come back and present a
recommendation by no later than February of 2012. She asked that name, address, phone
number and email (if available) be provided to her for her appointment. Mayor asked if
anyone would be interested in being on this Task Force to contact her or a Councilmember.

3.
Mayor announced appointments to her newly formed Year-Round Swimming Task Force

Mary Ann Zaggy nominated by Mr. Kraft and appointed by Mayor Welsch

Dan Glazier nominated and appointed by Mayor Welsch

Bob Winters nominated and appointed by Mayor Welsch

Steve McMahon nominated and appointed by Mayor Welsch

Jen Jensen nominated by Ellen Bern and appointed by Mayor Welsch

George Lenand nominated by Rod Jennings and appointed by Mayor Welsch

M.
