<br /> <br /> Minutes of the CALOP Board Meeting, <br />January 25, 2006. <br /> <br /> <br />The meeting convened at 6:10 p.m. at the University City Library, Meeting Room <br />2. In attendance were: Jon Galloway, Eleanor Mullin, Eric Friedman, Ed Nickels, <br />Cameron Sanders, James Kirchherr, Marla Roach. <br /> <br />Eric moved that we go into executive session to discuss personnel and legal <br />issues, Jon second, approved by acclamation. <br /> <br />Executive session occurred. Ed moved we leave executive session, Jon second, <br />approved by acclamation. <br /> <br />Chairman Sanders announced no decisions we made in executive session. <br /> <br />The public meeting convened at 6:20 p.m. <br /> <br />GRANT APPLICATIONS: The applications for grants were distributed, and a <br />discussion of the scoring followed. Secretary Mullin will create a grid scoring <br />sheet, which will be included with the minutes. We would like a proposal for a <br />special project on U. City parks. <br /> <br />CENTENNIAL: The Centennial project will be considered separately from other <br />applications. We had three applicants, one of whom only provided one copy. <br />Eric moved we form a subcommittee to discuss and decide centennial project. <br />Discussion was that this is too important for a subcommittee to decide. Eric <br />withdrew his motion. Eric motioned that a subcommittee do an initial review of <br />centennial applications, and report at the next meeting. Jon seconded, approved <br />by acclamation. The finalists for this may be invited to the February 6th meeting. <br /> <br />FUTURE GRANT MEETINGS: We will meet February 6, 2006, to compile the <br />scoring and discuss application. Finalists will be asked to attend the next <br />meeting, February 16, 2006, at which time we will decide the grants. <br /> <br />CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS: Marla reported that the following time slots are <br />available to us: Monday, 9:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Thursdays, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 <br />p.m.; Sundays, 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Charter is holding several boxes of <br />tapes. We may pick them up. No decision reached on how to select programs <br />for airing. Cameron did explain that HECTV will frequently release the rights on <br /> <br />
