Minutes of the CALOP Board Meeting
February 16, 2006

The meeting convened at 6:10 pm at the Cable TEC offices, 8390 Delmar. In
attendance were Cameron Sanders, Ed Nickels, Jim Kirchherr, Marla Roach,
Dennis Riggs, Eleanor Mullin, Jon Galloway, Eric Friedman Eleanor Mullin, Karol
Walters, Shelley Welsch.

Finalists for the grant round had been contacted to come meet with the Board,
further explain their projects, and answer questions. Following is a summary
of the discussion, in the order they occurred.

1. JOHNNIE BE GOOD, Art Holliday. Disclosures: Cameron knows him
personally. Dennis and HECTV are working on the project with him. Mr. Holliday
explained that he has much of the project done, but is waiting to schedule a
promised interview with Keith Richards, which he hopes will lead to interviews
with Eric Clapton and/or Paul McCartney. Because of this, he feels the project
may take more than a year, and depending on the number of celebrity interviews,
cost between $100,000.00 and $200,000.00.He pointed out that he can do
virtually no fundraising in St. Louis because of his contract with KSDK-TV. His
executive director, George Hickenlooper, is helping in many ways. He still has to
clear rights to much of the music.

2. GLORY & DESPAIR--PRUITT IGOE. Meredith Karazan representing the
OttoMar Project. She explained their group is concerned with social
issues. They are working with a SLU professor, Joe Heatheart (sp?), who has a
traveling exhibit on Pruitt Igoe. They want to show how residents felt about
Pruitt Igoe by using interviews and home movies. Apparently the professor has
some. They want to show that Pruit Igoe was a positive experience for many
residents, and the urgency is the original people are fairly old. Cameron asked
about their technical experience, and she said they had many contacts who
would help.

3. WILLIAM CLARK: AFTERMATH OF GLORY. Jim Scott. Disclosure:
Cameron knows their photographer. Jim said they have been granted $2200.00
from SLU, and applied for a RAC grant. They hope to be done in a year. We
asked if the subject wasn't too broad for 30 minutes. Jim replied as it will just
focus on highlights of Clark's career from 1806-1840, he thought not, and if
enough funding was available, He would be happy to produce an hour
documentary. Shelly asked the import of SLU being the applicant; Jim said
