Discussion led us to decide that <br />our preference was to hire a firm, as opposed to an individual, to do this. <br />A firm would have equipment in place, such as phone, computers, etc., and have <br />staff available at all times. Cameron and Jim said they know some small firms <br />that might suit this. Eleanor moved that Cameron and Jim contact these firms <br />and report back to us; Jon seconded, approved by acclamation. The firms will be <br />asked to the April 20th meeting to make a brief presentation. <br /> <br />SAVING ARCHIVES: We need to preserve and catalog old projects, some of <br />which have been damaged. We should update formats. We believe we have <br />approximately 175 films, dating back to 1981. Jon moved the HEC be hired to <br />update and preserve all films, with a stipend of up to $5000.00 to accomplish <br />this. Eleanor seconded.
