Minutes of the CALOP Board Meeting
April 20, 2006

The meeting convened at 6:10 p.m. at the offices of Cable Tec, 8390 Delmar. In
attendance were Dennis Riggs, Cameron Sanders, Jim Kirchherr, Jon Galloway,
Eleanor Mullin, Karol Walters, Marla Roach, Ed Nickels and Eric Friedman.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Jon moved we accept the February 16, 2006
minutes as amended, Ed seconded. Approved by acclamation. Jim moved we
accept the March 16, 2006 minutes as amended, Ed seconded. Approved by
acclamation.

COMMISSION MEMBERS: Shelley Welsch is no longer the council liaison to
CALOP. She asked Cameron to tell us how much she appreciates the
Commission' s work, and that she will continue to help on a personal basis,
particularly on historical projects. Gladys Creer has been appointed as a
representative from the 3rd ward. We currently have three members from the
first ward, three from the second, and only one from the third. To even the
representation, it is possible that a member from the first and second wards will
not be reappointed when their current terms expire.

CITY MONEY: Frank Ollendorf called Cameron, and said that in the future the
city will simply give us a check each year, and we will take care of all our
business on our own. And due to the lack of services the city provided to us this
past year, we are only paying them $2300.00, instead of the $9000.00 asked
for.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SEARCH: Steven Drake, president of Drake & Co.,
made a presentation. Cameron disclosed that they have worked together
before. Drake & Co provide services for many not-for profit groups. He
provided a booklet that explains their services, and discussed them. He feels his
company is really not a good fit for what we want; they aim at much bigger
groups, for fundraising, conventions, developing a membership etc. Dennis
Riggs spoke briefly about taking on the job, with the help of HEC-TV. We will
check to see if Dennis can be Exec. Director and sit on the commission.

WEBSITE: Jon has talked to two groups about setting this up. He will ask them
to give presentations at a meeting in the next few months. We want the website
to serve many purposes, such as giving links to other granting agencies, filling
out applications on line, listing our films, and any that are available for purchase,
