We must create a Commission Binder, which will have by laws, five year plan, and all procedures
involving grant rounds and the handling of grants in it. Mr. Nickels passed out information that had
previously been put together on procedures and mentoring.
3. Mr. Friedman would like to find a way to acknowledge Mr. Sander's contribution over the last five years to
the CALOP commission.
4. Ms Mullin turned over to Mr. Friedman $65.00, which represented the money made from sales of the "First
100 years" DVD by the library. She also reported that she took 21 copies of the "First 100 Years" dvd to Ms
Feier, who had requested them for the members of the Second Century Commission
5. Mr. Nickels announced that the Historical Society would be premiering the Centennial film by Steve
Behrends on Thursday, April 26th, 7:00 pm. at the U. City Library Auditorium.
6 We should consider making an arrangement with a small theatre to show CALOP films, with the
filmmaker in attendance. Mr. Nickels may pursue this with the Wehrenberg chain, since there will be
contact there through the 2007 grant for a film on their history.
7. Ms. Creer would like to see CALOP create a special project with U. City High School to promote film
making, and coordinate this with the school's resources. Ms. Creer, Ms. Walters, Mr. Friedman and Mr.
Kirchherr will comprise this committee.
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Eleanor Mullin, Secretary
