reported that Edie Barnard talked with Kathy Corley about her proposed project as <br />requested, but has yet to receive approval from the U. City School District. Ms. Mullin <br />suggested that Ms. Barnard be given a timeframe to meet CALOP’s stipulations. Ms. Weston <br />relayed that Ms. Corley was pleased with Ms. Barnard’s proposal and felt that Ms. Barnard’s <br />project did not duplicate CALOP’s school program. <br /> <br />Liaison Report <br />Commission members reported on the progress of the film projects, to which they serve as <br />liaison. <br /> <br />#15 Princeton. Mr. Nickels reported that the film was in its last phase and that it was just <br />a matter of when the home would be completed. Mr. Nickels felt that many could benefit <br />from the topic of the film and plans to propose showing it in Colorado. <br /> <br />Elijah Parish Lovejoy Society. Mr. Nickels reported that filmmaker Robert Tabscott <br />submitted information, but felt Mr. Tabscott needs to appear before the commission. The <br />commission discussed the time in which Mr. Tabscott has had to complete the film. A letter <br />will be sent regarding the delay in completing the film. <br /> <br />William Clark: the Aftermath of Glory. Mr. Riggs reported that filmmaker James Scott <br />was moving well and working on establishing a private screening at the Tivoli and possibly <br />at Plaza Frontenac. Ms. Mullin reported that there would be a showing next June at the <br />Missouri Historical Society. <br /> <br />A Sewer Runs Through It. Ms. Mullin and Mr. Riggs reported on the development of the <br />film: the filmmaker was interviewed on HEC/Liquid Light, a screening is being scheduled <br />around September or October, and John Goodman will serve as the film’s narrator. <br /> <br />Old St. Ferdinand's Shrine: From Pioneers to Present. Mr. Riggs and Ms. Mullin <br />reported that the film was completed and an HEC/Liquid Light interview with the filmmaker <br />was held. <br /> <br />Trailblazers. Ms. Weston will serve as liaison to filmmaker Curtis Minor. <br /> <br />St. Benedict’s Rule. Ms. Mullin reported that the film was close to completion. <br /> <br />Johnnie Be Good. Mr. Riggs reported that Art Holliday was making progress. <br /> <br />Grant Round <br />The commission assigned the deadline dates for the FY2009 grant rounds: October 31, <br />2008, with selection in January; and March 27, 2009. Both dates will be posted <br />immediately. <br /> <br />Archival Project <br />Ms. Weston reported that about 8 people attended the Washington University Archives Tour. <br />Along with the tour, participants viewed excerpts of Eyes on the Prize. Ms. Weston relayed <br />that the director was open to CALOP using archival space and also invited CALOP to hold its <br />meeting at the offices of the archives. <br /> <br />Education Committee Report <br />Ms. Weston reported that the contract with Kathy Corley had been executed and that Ms. <br />Corley was beginning to work on the education project. <br /> <br />Treasurer’s Report <br />A written report was provided to the commission. <br />2 <br /> <br />
