<br />July 25, 2005 <br /> <br />University City Commission for Arts and Letters <br />July Monthly Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Date of Meeting: July 12, 2005 <br /> <br />Attendees: <br />Jane Brownstone <br />Leland Barber <br />Calla Smorodin <br />Robert Bernstein <br />Traci Moore-Clay <br />Lisa Mandel <br />Jo Anne Zach <br />Emily Kelly <br />Barbara Santoro (not sworn in yet) <br /> <br />Others present: <br />Francine Brungardt - Council Liaison <br />Cheryl Thompson - Staff Liaison <br /> <br />Excused: Phyllis Weber <br />Absent: Jo Seltzer, Kate Stein <br /> <br />Traci Moore-Clay called the meeting to order at 7:10pm <br /> <br />The June minutes were accepted. <br /> <br />Treasurer’s Report: <br />No report was provided, as Jean Markus had just resigned. <br /> <br />We discussed what to do about a treasurer, since Jean has resigned. Jean has given all of <br />the books to Cheryl. Traci suggested that perhaps we should hire an interim accountant <br />and brought up Miriam Wilhelm’s name. Otherwise, it was determined that we need a <br />committee member to enter all the information in an Excel spreadsheet and make do until <br />the end of the year or until we have another treasurer. Emily Kelly volunteered to be the <br />interim treasurer. <br /> <br />Francine Brungardt reported on numerous council actions. <br /> <br />Jane Brownstone reported that a meeting had been held at her home with Jay Fram the <br />photographer who was hired to take pictures for the 2006 calendar along with Traci <br />Moore-Clay, Cheryl Thompson, Monica McFee and Winnie Sullivan from Public <br />Relations. Jay showed them pictures he had taken thus far. Cheryl will be putting <br />together a list of various dates with historic sites that could be considered when <br /> <br />
