Returning Artist:
Ms. Smorodin reported that she is still working on the budget for this program and hopes
to have it completed by the September meeting to present to the commission. She will be
meeting with David Harris and Chris Blumenhorst next month and so this will help to
finalize prices for the budget. Ms. Smorodin reminded everyone of the dates for this
event which will be March 21-23, 2007.

Old Business:
Cheryl reported that Ms Feier, City Manager has asked that all commission for the city
post their agenda’s and minutes on the city’s website for citizens perusal. There Cheryl
has been trained to post these things on the Web and will be the official “Archivist” for
the commission. All minutes will need to be sent electronically in the future so that they
can be posted.
Ms. Zach asked what had happened with the “Support” sculpture that had been proposed
to be placed permanently on the community center. She was told that this was discussed
at last months meeting and that due to the increase in the cost of installation the
commission had decided to save this for future reviewing to see where the interest lies in
this proposal and the alternatives that can be taken to make this permanent. Ms.
Smorodin suggested that she initiate an e-mail to all commission members to start a
dialogue of who might be interested in this and if there is enough interest the possible
means of getting monies to fund this project. Ms. Zach mentioned the organization that
had funded the statue sculpture in front of Craft Alliance might be interested. Cheryl
stated that was the Gateway Foundation and that the Horse that is in the lobby of
Centennial Commons was also funded by that organization. She stated she would check
with the organization to see if they could possibly fund the project. This will be discussed
at a meeting again this fall.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:40p.m.
