like the old “Fair in the Square;” employing both sides of Heman Park with art booths and food provided by local <br />not-for-profit groups, (Tom McCarthy will check food-handling regulations) kicked off by a parade, and a run <br />taking place over Memorial Day weekend (Sunday and Monday.) The next meeting for the festival will take place <br />th <br />on Oct 25 at 6 pm in the EOC room of City Hall. <br />Old Business: The nominating committee for new Arts and Letters officers announced that no Commissioner has <br />yet volunteered his or her name to be the next Commission President. <br />New Business: Diane Davenport announced the Alice Block Itfatemah Keshararz Poetry and Dance Concert <br />thth <br />Sunday October 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Wash U. and November 7 at 2:00p.m. at the Central Reform Congregation. <br />Dan Martin asked how the Commission should welcome Dick Blick to U City. Diane Davenport asked how the <br />Commisssion might honor U City in Bloom for all it contributes to the beauty of the city. Barbara Santoro <br />suggested that a U City in Bloom poster be displayed at the photo show reception. <br />Motion to adjourn: at 8:00 p.m. by Claire Medol-Hyman, seconded by Adelia Parker-Castro. The motion passed. <br />
