Application forms and all supporting documents may be submitted to the Plans <br />Examiner, Planning and Development Department, 6801 Delmar Boulevard <br />University City, MO 63130. <br /> <br /> Fees: <br />4) <br />All applications must be accompanied by a $57.00 application fee. Make checks <br />payable to “City of University City.” Application fees are non-refundable, <br />regardless of the Board’s decision. <br /> <br />Appeals Process <br /> <br />Filing Procedure: An applicant may file for an appeal within thirty (30) days of a code <br />decision/interpretation that has been made by a building official. The application must <br />thoroughly describe the reason for the claim. <br /> <br />Meeting Date: The Board of Code Appeals meets on an on call basis. Information <br />regarding the appeal will be forwarded to the chairperson of the Board. At which time, <br />the chairperson will determine a meeting date. The chairperson will also be responsible <br />for informing other members of the Board about the meeting date. The applicant will be <br />notified by mail of the meeting date. <br /> <br />Procedure at the Appeals Hearing: At the hearing, the applicant should be prepared to <br />present the issues cited in the application and give reasons why the appeal should be <br />granted. An applicant may call on representatives (architect, engineer, contractor, etc…) <br />to speak on his behalf. <br /> <br />Board Powers: The Board of Appeals may reverse, affirm or modify the order, decision <br />or determination of the building official. <br /> <br />Board Decisions: The decision of the Board of Appeals shall be by majority vote. <br /> 2 <br /> <br />
