University City Historic Preservation Commission
Meeting commenced at 7:32 p.m.

1 .Peter Smith, Architect, presented the proposal to relocate the house located at
201 Westgate to 6364 Pershing Avenue. The house is currently located in the
Parkview Historic Neighborhood. The new location is also the Parkview. Mr.
Smith indicated that the house will be tuckpointed and the downspouts
replaced to improve its physical condition. Mr. Smith proposed that the 39
inch tree located on the property be maintained.

2.The President of Parkview Neighborhood Association (Parkview Board of
Regents) has approved the proposed relocation of the house. Mr. Smith
indicated that the proposal meets the requirements of the Parkview
Association.

3.Mr. Knoten, (who lives at 6363 Pershing Avenue) reviewed his September
23, 2002 letter of submission objecting to the proposed relocation (see
attachment). Mr. Knotens objections relate to the railroad track and sound wall
for Metrolink which he maintains are in violation of the Historic District. He
asked the Commission to deny the permit for the relocation of the house.

4.It was indicated that Washington University will be granting an easement for
the location of the side wall on the vacant lot (when the house is relocated).

Page 2
