University City Historic Preservation Commission

currently located at 201 Westgate will be relocated to 6364 Pershing Avenue.

5.Discussion ensued regarding the front yard setback of the house which was
initially proposed to be 70 feet (the other houses on the street are in the 40 ft
range with some variation). The proposed setback of 70 ft. is intended to
preserve the large tree in the fi:ontyard.

6.Paul Marsh moved that the house be relocated from 201 Westgate to 6364
Pershing. Motion seconded by Waker Daniels. The key points in the motion
were that there be a 40 ft fi:ontyard setback, the tree saved if possible, and the
front is to be brick. The motion carried (with Ron Heise opposed).

7.Mr. Knoten reiterated his objections to Metrolink. He maintains that the
proposal for house relocation and the Metrolink route violate the Parkview
indenture and the University City Historic Preservation Ordinance.

8.It was moved by Nancy Sachar and seconded by Ron Heise that the
University City Historic Preservation Commission is opposed to any land be
taken fi:om the Parkview Historic District for Metrolink. It was determined that
a letter advising City Council of this resolution should be forwarded fi:om the
Commission. Motion carried.

Page 3
