Minutes <br /> <br />A motion was made, seconded and approved to accept the minutes from December 13, 2006 as <br />written. <br /> <br />2. Correspondence <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />3. Friends’ report <br /> <br />On January 23, John Dalton will lecture and show slides about “Heavens Gate”. <br /> <br />The Friends will have the annual staff luncheon on February 13. <br /> <br />4. Council liaison <br /> <br />Michael sent a note briefly saying that the city council and management have completed a multi- <br />hour tour along Olive Blvd. in connection with their focus on Olive reinvigoration. Also, a new <br />deputy city manager has been hired. <br /> <br /> <br />5. Librarian’s report <br />a. Linda reviewed the results of the building slab survey. Conclusion is that if repairs are <br />made in the toilet area we can continue to watch for now for possible future additional <br />settling. No imminent danger. <br />b. Linda provided a comprehensive list of the activities for the “Big Read” both at the <br />University City public library and at other locations. <br />c. Linda will be putting out a bid request for new automatic entry doors. <br />d. Asia Gross, the adult services librarian, is leaving to take a position with the Online <br />Computer Library Center. <br /> <br />Actions Requested <br /> <br />No actions. <br /> <br /> <br />Page 1 of of 2 <br /> <br />
