The motion <br />was seconded and approved. <br />Correspondence <br />Linda circulated thank-you notes written by students at Flynn Park school. Library staff Marilyn <br />Phillips, Judy Paskal and LaRita Wright participated in the children's program at Flynn Park on <br />"African-American Authors". <br />Friends' report <br />Friends will be holding another trivia night on Saturday May 17. They will have the rescheduled <br />staff luncheon in late April when there is less chance of a snow day. Poet Jane 0. Wayne will <br />speak at their annual meeting on Monday, April 14, at 7 PM. <br />(~'.rnm~~il liaicnn <br />No report. <br />Librarian's report <br />a. The library and MLC are applying for a grant to cover 75% of the cost associated with two <br />new catalog servers. The library is also writing a grant proposal to support a 3rd round of <br />digitization of historical photos and documents -covering the development of the Delmar <br />Loop. Lastly, the library is applying for a grant from the Regional Arts Commission to <br />support the art shows in The Gallery. <br />b. Linda attended a legislative update video conf last week where the MO Senate property tax <br />reassessment bill (SB711) was discussed. No definitive answers came from the meeting. <br />c. Linda reported that the library will be replacing the current e-audiobooks service with one that <br />supports the iPod devices that hold the market lead.
