<br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Park Commission <br />City of University City <br />September 28, 2004 <br />Heman Park Community Center <br /> <br />Vice President Palmer called the meeting to order at 6:38 p.m. Others present were: <br /> <br />Mary Hart Nancy MacCartney, Director <br />Les Palmer Tracy Collins, Administrative Secretary <br />James Sutton Ron Akin, City Golf Professional <br />Charles Mosley <br />Ted Smorodin <br />Francine Brungardt, Council Member <br /> <br />Excused: Carl Seltzer, Doyle Mitchell & Evelyn Irving <br /> <br />Disposition of Minutes from July 27 and August 17, 2004 Special Meeting <br />Vice President Palmer motioned to accept minutes from July 27 regular meeting with <br />th <br />noted typographical errors and modifications to Ted Smorodin’s park report: Fogerty <br />looks good and the citizen’s driveway was finished. Mr. Sutton seconded <br /> <br />Vice President Palmer motioned to accept the minutes from August 17 special <br />th <br />meeting with noted corrections. Mr. Smorodin seconded. <br /> <br />Citizen’s Comments on items not on Agenda <br />Ms. Jensen discussed Lewis Park – north entrance beautifications and signage. She also <br />discussed a petition regarding Midwest Pool Contract. <br /> <br />Council Liaison Report (Francine Braungardt) <br />Ms. Braungardt gave a short introduction of herself. She discussed correspondence she <br />wrote regarding the Ruth Park Master Plan-why it wasn’t identified as a priority to <br />Council. Concerned about communication. She will be active with the Commission. <br /> <br />Update on Council: <br /> i. Sunshine Law <br /> ii. Policy and Procedures <br /> iii. Developer in Greensfelder neighborhood <br /> iv. Economic Task Force <br /> v. Police Citizen Academy <br /> vi. Loop in Motion this Saturday <br /> vii. Board & Commission dinner invitation <br /> <br />Cell Tower Request <br />President Dee gave a brief description of the Cell Tower request Ms. MacCartney gave a brief <br />description of location and how it would benefit University City. <br /> <br />Citizen Comments: Kaye Dry – against – concerned about radiation <br /> Dorothy Doyle – against <br /> Lynn Breakstone – against <br /> <br /> <br />
