During this <br />summer, it came to our attention that the official policy is causing a hardship for non- <br />resident swim team members who cannot afford $6 for each swim practice or to come to <br />lap swim in the earl morning and even with the 10 visit discount guest card. <br /> <br />Staff is recommending that non-residents be allowed to purchase daily admission to the pool for <br />$6 per visit and be allowed to purchase a 20 visit punch card for $96 (4.80 per visit) and that a <br />special adult lap swim fee be established (assuming all participants will be adults) for residents <br />at $50 for residents and $75 for non-residents just for the Heman Pool summer season. Washington University <br />Carl Safe, Professor ask commission to support the proposed architectural design for the traffic <br />island at the post office. He introduce Fernando Castro-Caratini one of his architectural <br />students, who went on to explain the design and answer questions. Mary Hart asked about its <br />safety, Mr. Castro-Caratini reassured her it was not a safety risk.
