<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Park Commission <br />City of University City <br />April 27, 2010 <br />Centennial Commons, 7210 Olive Blvd. <br /> <br />President Livingston Sykes called the meeting to Order at 6:36pm. Other members present were: <br /> <br />John Sweeney Nancy MacCartney, Director, Parks, Recreation, Forestry <br />Karen Palmer Rivian Robinson, Administrative Secretary <br />Caryn St. Clair Lynda Euell-Taylor, Recreation Superintendent <br />Gwendolyn Gaines-Beckwith <br />William Field <br />Karen Dille <br />Linda Peoples <br /> <br />Disposition of Minutes from March 23, 2010 <br />Minutes reviewed corrections to spelling of names of new commission members. Ms. Palmer moves <br />minutes are accepted with corrections, Ms. Gaines-Beckwith seconded, vote taken, all in favor. <br /> <br />Citizen’s comments on items not on Agenda <br />No citizens present <br /> <br />Council Liaison Report <br />No new council liaison appointed at this time. No report available <br /> <br />Approval of Revisions to: <br />Membership Cancellation Policy <br />Fees and Charges Policy- <br />Scholarship Policy <br />After review of all policy revisions, comments and discussion, Ms. Palmer makes a motion to approve <br />the policy changes as amended. Ms. Dille seconds. Vote taken and all in favor. <br />Community Center Saturday Rate-Comments and discussion followed. Ms. Dille moves to accept the <br />HPCC Saturday Rate changes. Ms. Palmer seconds. Vote is taken and all in favor. <br /> <br /> <br />Department Report <br />Ms. MacCartney reports that University City got “short listed” for the NEA grant. Flynn Park Tennis <br />Courts will be under construction beginning 4/28/10 at 5am. The three western courts will be done <br />first, followed by the 2 eastern courts on 4/29/10. Over $16,000.00 has been raised for the Flynn Park <br /> <br />
