<br /> <br />Individual Park Reports <br />John Sweeney Flynn Park-Tennis courts open, look great, People already using them <br />Lewis- All is well at this park <br />Adams- Not much going on at this park <br />Gwendolyn Gaines-Majerus- No report <br />Beckwith Eastgate- Park is well used and often used <br />Jerry Fitch Ruth Park- U City Parks Foundation donated a new sign that is by the covered shelter <br />; the out of bounds barriers by #3 need to be moved more south; the fairways look <br />good and very plush <br />Linda Peoples Fogerty- Noticed people playing tennis <br />Greensfelder- Park is nice but drainage issue can be seen after rains <br />Karen Palmer Mooney- Nothing new to report on Mooney. Mentioned new sign at Ruth Park <br />Karen Dille Heman- No report- absent <br />Livingston Sykes Kaufman- Park is fine <br />Mona Terrace- There are a few tree branches down but no other problems <br />Caryn St. Clair Miller <br />Rabe- Absent, no report <br />William Field Metcalf- Park is not used much but is in good condition <br />Ackert- Park is not used much either, but looks in good condition <br />Commented that range lights are getting beat up and brought up use of bunker <br />lights. <br /> <br /> <br />Unfinished Business <br />Mr. Fields raised the issue of revenue reports. He requests that expense report for Ruth Park be <br />provided. He states he has researched this and has referred to the charter. His request is not supported <br />by the members, no motions made. <br /> <br />New Business <br /> <br />Question as to Charter and if it is in alignment with duties of Park Commission. After Parks tour <br /> <br />in June Mr. Field spoke about Park Commission and what this group is charged to do. He feels <br />that commission should be involved in approval of things (structures, etc.) that go up in the <br />parks. Discussion, questions, and answers follow. <br /> <br />*Citizen Comment from Mr. Acme Price revisited. Suggestion to make a phone call to Mr. Price <br /> <br />regarding the resident ID cared. No phone call will be mailed. Mr. Fitch agrees that letter will <br />be drafted to Mr. Price to address his concern. <br /> <br />Golf Report- Mr. Fitch suggests that line items that continually have “0” balance be omitted <br /> <br />from report. This will be taken care of for next report. <br /> <br />Annual Park Commission Outing date suggested. Ms. Robinson will email information and get <br /> <br />RSVPs. <br /> <br />Ms. Peoples remind that everyone must remain professional and respectful when others <br /> <br />comment, even if they have opposing views. <br /> <br /> <br />Ms. Peoples made a motion that meeting be adjourned. Ms. Gaines-Beckwith seconds. <br />Meeting adjourned at 7:50 pm. <br />
