Should the City reorient the tee stations to the east? <br />Ms. Palmer moved do not move the tee stations to the east. Mr. Fitch seconded. Vote taken: seven in favor <br />(Dille, Fitch, Palmer, Peoples, St. Clair, Sweeney, Sykes), one opposed (Field), and one abstention (Gaines- <br />Beckwith). Motion passed. <br />4. Should the City plant three trees in the area across from 8528 Groby? <br />Ms. St. Clair moved the City should plant trees in this area. Ms. Gaines-Beckwith seconded. Vote taken: all in <br />favor. Motion passed. <br />5. Should the City eliminate lights on the range? <br />Mr. Fitch moved the City should not eliminate lights on the range. Ms. St. Clair seconded. Vote taken: eight in <br />favor, Mr. Field opposed. Motion passed. <br />6. Should the City plant additional trees/vegetation along the western edge of the range? <br />Ms. Dille indicated this item should be tabled; not an option at this time; could be revisited based on netting <br />installation (item #8). <br />7. Should the City reduce the hours of range operations in the morning and evening? <br />Ms. Dille moved do not change the hours of range operations. Ms. Peoples seconded. Vote taken: eight in favor, <br />Mr. Field opposed. Motion passed. <br />8. Should the City install additional netting along the #7? <br />Mr. Fitch moved the City should install additional netting along #7. Ms. St. Clair seconded. Vote taken: eight in <br />favor, Mr. Field opposed. Motion passed. <br />Establishment of a Nominating Committee for 2011 Commission President and Vice President <br />President Sykes asked Ms. Palmer to chair this committee. Ms. Palmer accepted. <br /> <br />Department Report <br /> <br />Ms. MacCartney reported on the following: <br /> <br />Mooney Park – retaining wall construction is in progress. <br /> <br /> <br />Mooney Playground design team – eight families to participate; scheduled for Wednesday, December 8 <br /> <br />beginning at 5 pm in the Centennial Commons boardroom. <br /> <br />Received the HUD/DOT grant <br /> <br /> <br />Citywide Trails Planning grant <br /> <br /> <br />Individual Park Reports <br /> <br />John Sweeney – All parks look good <br />Caryn St. Clair – All parks look good <br />Karen Dille - Heman Park – looks good; log path by creek has been fixed; another pole barrier is rotten. <br />William Field - Ruth Park Golf Course – in good shape; Metcalfe Park – good usage. <br />Linda Peoples - Fogerty Park – looks fine, wood chips looking worn; Greensfelder Park – looks fine. <br /> <br /> <br />
