<br />.. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />Minutes <br /> <br />March 27, 1985 <br /> <br />The Plan Commission of University City held its regular meeting in the <br />EOC Room of the City Hall on Wednesday, March 27, 1985, convening at <br />7:38 p.m. with Chairman Esley Hamilton presiding. <br /> <br />ATTENDANCE <br /> <br />Voting Members Present: Voting Members Absent: <br /> <br />Booker T. Washington Michael Kennedy <br />Esley Hamilton <br />David Douglass <br />Matthew P. McCauley <br />Mary Schuman <br />Canice T. Rice, Jr. <br /> <br />Council Liaison Present: Paul Schoomer <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Al Goldman, Director of Planning <br />Keona McMurry, Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />Also Present: <br />public. <br /> <br />Frank Ollendorff, City Manager and members of the <br /> <br />CONDITIONAL USE APPLICATION: 6963 OLIVE. DOMINO'S PIZZA <br /> <br />Mr. Art Hurteau, representing Domino's Pizza and Mr. John Lilly of the <br />Midland Group made the presentation of the application. Mr. Hurteau <br />gave a brief history of the company stating that the first store opened <br />in Michigan in 1960, that they curently have 2000 stores in the United <br />States, Canada and Australia and not a Single store has closed in the <br />last five years. <br /> <br />Mr. Hamilton asked why they did not purchase the larger lot to the <br />east. Mr. Hurteau responded that they did not need that much land and <br />at the present rate of expansion they did not want to tie up that much <br />cash if it was not necessary. He also stated that they would have no <br />sit down service, their business was strictly carry-out and delivery <br />service. In response to a question regarding intention of applying for <br />a license to sell liquor he replied that they will not apply, they have <br />no beer sales in their franchise. <br /> <br />After a discussion which dealt with the concerns of the citizens that <br />were present and the Commission members, Mr. Hamilton stated that he <br />
