<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />Minutes <br /> <br />July 23, 1986 <br /> <br />The City Plan Commission held its regular meeting in the E.O.C. Meeting Room <br />of City Hall on Wednesday, July 23, 1986, convening at 7:35 p.m. with <br />Chairman Esley Hamilton presiding. <br /> <br />ATTENDANCE <br /> <br />Voting Members Present: <br /> <br />Mary Cook <br />Ealey Hamilton <br />Michael Kennedy <br />Matthew P. McCauley <br />Canice T. Rice, Jr. <br />Mary Schuman <br />Booker T. Washington <br /> <br />Staff Present: Al Goldman, Director of Planning; Sarah Elwood, Zoning <br />Administrator. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Rice moved that the minutes of the June 25, 1986, meeting be approved as <br />corrected. Ms. Schuman seconded the motion which passed by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />PROPOSAL FOR REPLATTING OF OLIVE/SKINKER BUSINESS PARK BY UNIVERSITY CITY <br />REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br /> <br />Mary Fahey, Executive Director of the University City Redevelopment <br />Authority (UCRA) presented a proposal to resubdivide the Olive/Skinker <br />Business Park. She reminded Commission members that they had recommended <br />approval of Modification of the University Court Urban Renewal Plan in <br />January and that it had been subsequently passed by the City Council. The <br />property for the Business Park had been rezoned from "HR"-High Density <br />Residential to "IC"-Industrial Commercial. She presented to Commission <br />members a survey which met the specifications of the modified Urban Renewal <br />Plan. The plat included details of utility placement, required setbacks and <br />buffering. The UCRA had agreed that the Hilliker Company which had been <br />successful in marketing the Cunningham Industrial Park should also market <br />the Business Park. In sum, the UCRA requested the Plan Commission's <br />recommendations approving the plat to City Council. She asked if Commission <br />members had any questions or comments about the proposal. <br /> <br />Ms. Cook arrived at 7:44 p.m. <br /> <br />Chairman Hamilton remarked that he was pleased to see all the necessary <br />setbacks and buffering recorded on the survey for the protection of the <br />adjacent neighborhood. Ms. Fahey stated that another measure for the <br />protection of the neighborhood would be the vacation of a portion of <br />
