Meeting Room of <br />City Hall on Wednesday, October 22, 1986, convening at 7:37 p.m. with Chairman <br />Esley Hamilton presiding. <br /> <br />ATTENDANCE <br /> <br />Voting Members Present: <br /> <br />Voting Members Absent: <br /> <br />Esley Hamilton, Chairman <br />Michael Kennedy <br />Matthew P. Adams, Jr. <br /> <br />Staff Present: Al Goldman, Director of Planning; Sarah Elwood, Zoning <br />Administrator. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Rice moved that the minutes of the August 27, 1986, meeting be approved as <br />amended. Ms. Schuman seconded the motion which passed by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Mr. McCauley and Mr. Washington arrived at 7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />APPLICATIONS FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS BY ATEC LIQUIDATIONS, INC. - 858 <br />~INGSLAND AVENUE AND 6504 OLIVE BOULEVARD <br /> <br />Mr. Peter A. Fanchi, an attorney representing ATEC Liquidations, Inc., introduced <br />Mr. Paul Lerman, President of ATEC Liquidations, Inc., and Mr. Thomas Stern, a <br />real estate agent for Mr. Lerman and ATEC. The three men were present to <br />represent ATEC's position regarding the two applications for Conditional Use <br />Permits which would sanction the parking and storage of motor vehicles on ATEC's <br />properties at 858 Kingsland Avenue and 6504 Olive Boulevard. Mr. Fanchi stated <br />that ATEC's ability to store various numbers of tractor-trailers from time to <br />time was critical to its liquidation business. Mr. Lerman was in the process of <br />expensive rehabilitation of both buildings; denial of these applications would <br />force him to relocate his business. <br /> <br />In response to Mr. Goldman's memorandum of October 17, 1986, to the Chairman and <br />Members of the Plan Commission, Mr. Fanchi stated that Mr. Lerman could resolve <br />most of the concerns expressed therein with respect to storage of vehicles on the <br />two properties. First, with respect to 6504 Olive Boulevard, Mr. Fanchi stated <br />that the visual effect of the trailers parked at the rear of the property was <br />
